In this new generation, where we have freedom of religion, is very hard to tell who among us is a believer of Christ. Our work places have so many restrictions to avoid confrontations that we don’t discuss religion matters anymore. Our homes are filled with distractions that adds a gap in between our relationship with our kids and wife. If there is someone at home which is not saved yet and we try to minister to them, we do it very carefully to avoid confrontations that will push them away from the Lord.
Know who to hang around with and stay focus
Friendships are now hard to manage. If you are a believer and you are trying to reach out to your friends, you might tend to hang out with them not knowing that by doing that you are getting drawn to their ways and little by little your attitude will start to change and if you don’t watch out, you might end up drawing yourself away from the Lord instead of drawing your friends closer to our creator.
See many people think that we could change people by hanging out with them. This might be true to some point. There are some that might be blessed by your presence and you will plant a seed in them to look up to the Lord for a change in their lives. Some other people try and fail and what happens is that you become one of them.
We need to be aware to separate ourselves from among people who don’t believe in our God nor have any intentions to do so. We need to keep in mind that we are to be different. We need to stand up and stand out. Sometimes we don’t do either one and we’re just kind of normal people waiting for a chance to minister to others but blend in with the people around us and that could make us lose our focus on sharing the word with others.
Be the Light
Nowadays, more than ever before, the world cannot tell the difference between a Christian and a non-Believer and that is one very tragic but true statement. If we don’t have enough conviction to really sting a person or enough light that I don’t stand out, then something’s wrong in our life and we need to change ourselves to a way that we can make an impact at work, at home and with friends. We ought to be happy and joyful people in Christ.
How we should be around others?
Everything we do in life should be done with the singleness of mind. We ought to be better than everybody else because of who we are and we ought to be trusted. We must be doing things right and really doing it for the glory of God and not sweeping things under, but doing it in eye service because God sees what you do!
What is the problem with the world?
The world is not looking at Christ. In the past the church was not standing out. They were no different. They were afraid and that is exactly where the church is today. Who are going to be the witnesses? Who is going to make the stand? Are we standing up against the school district? Are we standing up against the government? So here, we are, we come to church, we go home and that’s it. It has to be more than that. You have to live such a life that your kids want to come home, that your wife wants to come home, that people want to talk to you.
Witnessing to others
When we do witness to others we are to stand firm in the word of God. We can’t be lukewarm Christians but the word of God should be our foundation any time of the year. Many people will use scriptures against us while trying to rebuke a friend or trying to win someone for Christ. For example many may say:
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
This might be one of the favorite quotes from non believers now a days. Keep in mind that we are not to condemn people as we might draw them away from the Lord but is our duty to bring up to their attention things that they may be doing wrong to help them out not to destroy and condemn their souls.
Where should we stand in the many areas of the world view?
There are many examples of this topic. We will only mention a few of them.
We are to stand for what is true, we must think and act biblically. We must have a complete biblical world view to be able to make decisions in life based on what the bible says.
Our Lord created a man and a woman to be united as one in marriage. Anything more or less than that is a sinful act and we must not stand for it.
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
This statement is true until we repent from our sins. Not only repenting but walking away from the sin and we must be able to be free from it. For as long as we don’t acknowledge our acts, we will never look at it as a sinful matter. That’s when we need others to point them out to us and to help us understand what the bible says about the worldly pleasures.
The bible doesn’t give a confuse statement on this topics, there is no confusion on this issues unless your confusion is with the bible which is the word of our Lord.
Just because you are tempted in a certain area doesn’t mean you should give into it.
“You must not murder.
New Living Translation (NLT)
This is Commandment number 6 and this is very simple and easy to understand. We must stand by the scriptures on this topic. 1,000 of your excuses could be wiped off by your obedience to the Lord to respect the fact that God created you as well as your unborn child. You don’t know what God has in plans for this precious baby and you must trust that as you stand firm in obedience, the Lord will provide for the baby and will show you what wonderful things He has in plans for his life.
God has a plan for every baby regardless of the circumstances of their conception.
Every child is created by God and should be given a chance to live.
So let’s be a blessing to others by standing out and becoming an example to others. The decisions that we make in life could potentially get us off track and put us in a different road. Let’s stand on better grounds and keep in mind that as long as we stay focus, we will be ready for the Lord to come and get us out.
